Senior Traffic Engineer / Division Leader

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Traffic Engineer / Division Leader to oversee our traffic engineering division. This role focuses on leading transportation planning projects, ensuring effective project management, and utilizing advanced traffic simulation software to enhance traffic flow and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and leadership qualities to mentor junior engineers and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the traffic engineering division, providing guidance and support to team members.
Conduct transportation planning and traffic studies to develop effective solutions for various projects.
Utilize traffic simulation software to model traffic conditions and assess project impacts.
Perform data analysis to inform decision-making and improve traffic systems.
Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project objectives are met.
Design and evaluate traffic signals, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Oversee highway safety assessments and implement measures to enhance safety on roadways.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate traffic solutions into broader projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license OR the ability to obtain one is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering, with at least 1 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in traffic simulation software and traffic modeling techniques.
Experience with AutoCAD and GIS applications.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
