Product Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join our team, responsible for the design and development of electrical products, particularly focusing on panelboards, switchboards and switchgear, creating bills of materials, developing drawings, seeking alternative components, helping production and other engineering related activities. The ideal candidate will leverage their mechanical design expertise and knowledge of industry standards to enhance product performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop mechanical components for switchgear products using SolidWorks.
Ensure compliance with UL standards including UL 891 and UL 1558 during the design process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical and mechanical systems effectively.
Conduct product testing and validation to meet safety and performance standards.
Prepare detailed documentation and specifications for product designs and changes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in Mechanical Design and SolidWorks.
Knowledge of low voltage switchboard (UL891)/switchgear design (UL1558)/panelboard (UL 67), installation, and use.
Knowledge of IEEE/ANSI C37 and NEC/NFPA 70E standards.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
