Materials Planner

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Materials Planner to manage and optimize our inventory and production scheduling processes. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials are available for production while minimizing costs and reducing waste.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain inventory plans to ensure optimal stock levels are met.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Analyze demand forecasts and adjust inventory levels accordingly.
Utilize MRP systems and AS400 for inventory management and planning.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams to align production schedules with material availability.
Monitor and report on inventory performance metrics, including costs and reduction strategies.
Maintain accurate records of material usage and inventory levels.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in materials planning and management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in materials planning or inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of MRP systems and AS400.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Effective communication and organizational skills.
Experience with cost reduction strategies and forecasting techniques.
