Legal Assistant - Litigation

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant specializing in litigation to support our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist with case preparation, manage legal documents, and ensure smooth communication between clients and attorneys. This position requires a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and hearings
  • Draft and file legal documents, including briefs and pleadings
  • Manage and organize case files and evidence
  • Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and court personnel
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates
  • Conduct legal research as needed
  • Maintain and update records and databases
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and documentation standards
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role
  • Familiarity with litigation processes and legal terminology
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents such as briefs and pleadings
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal software and MS Office Suite
