Title: Engineering Design Supervisor - Custom Modular Exhibits (Tradeshow Exhibits)
Location: Woodridge, IL 60517 (Southwest Chicago)
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000 + Relocation

Founded in 2001 we are a 350 employee designer, producer & wholesaler of wide format digital print products for a variety of retailers across the US. We are a visual communications company with the largest selection of solutions for trade shows, exhibits, retail environments, business meetings etc in the marketspace today. We have acquired a few new businesses since covid and are private equity owned with very strong financial backing as we continue to gain market share in the space. For our facility in Woodridge we are targeting to hire an Engineering Supervisor who can manage a team of 3 along with the engineering drawings that go out into the shop.

What You Will Be Doing

Develop 3D models & production drawing packages using SolidWorks
Oversee design engineering (drawings, analysis, calculations, bill of materials etc)
Review product design packages to ensure compliance w/ engineering principles, applicable codes & industry standards
Coordinate specs, costs & production timelines w/ domestic & international suppliers
Create, approve & maintain bill of materials & inventory management records
Collaborate w/ custom design to integrate new components into quoting & design libraries
Oversee comprehensive document control & file management policies / software systems
Oversee software upgrades incl: SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, Composer, Lino 3D Layout, TactonWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Vectorworks & CAMWorks installations
Troubleshoots errors as they pertain to all CAD systems
Direct involvement w/ IT department for server maintenance, database & file backup processes, system integration & virtual machine hosting

What You Need for this Position

Bachelors in Engineering (ideally Mechanical)
3+ years of managing teams in an engineering environment
Certified SolidWorks expert is ideal
Strong CAD & mechanical design / modeling background
Any six sigma / lean experience is a plus
Welding equipment / aluminum manufacturing / CNC machine experience
Lighting engineering skillset is a plus
MS Office suite experience
Experience with CPQ / Tacton is a plus
Good balance of mechanical, electrical & civil background is a plus
