Controls Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for various industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC programming, HVAC systems, and building automation, with a focus on optimizing manufacturing processes and enhancing system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop control systems for industrial equipment and HVAC applications
Program and troubleshoot PLCs and related control devices
Make occasional edits to Equipment Touch HMI to interface with special programs
Perform testing of control sequences with hardware trainers
Alter aftermarket unit logic based on Sequence of Operations and/or customer requests
Implement sequence programming for various manufacturing processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems with existing infrastructures
Utilize scripting languages for automation and system enhancements
Maintain and update documentation for control systems and programming
Provide technical support and training to operational staff regarding control systems

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or Computer Engineering
2+ years of sequence programming for industrial equipment (HVAC systems preferred)
ABET Certification preferred
Familiarity with scripting languages (JavaScript, Groovy, .NET, C#, etc.)
Familiarity with IP networks and protocols
Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and servicing internal customers
Proven experience in PLC programming and industrial control systems
Knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation
