Engineer III Civil Design
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineer III Civil Design to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing various civil engineering projects, focusing on site design and land development. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments and evaluations for civil engineering projects.
- Develop detailed civil engineering designs for land development and site projects.
- Utilize MicroStation for drafting and design purposes.
- Prepare construction documents and specifications for projects.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
- Perform earthwork analysis and drainage design to manage water runoff effectively.
- Ensure compliance with zoning regulations and site safety standards.
- Manage and mitigate soil erosion and sediment control measures during construction phases.
- Design swales and spillways for effective water management on sites.
- Work towards obtaining Professional Engineer licensure while mentoring junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Engineer In Training (EIT) certification is preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in civil engineering design, particularly in site design and land development.
- Proficient in MicroStation and AutoCAD software for design and drafting.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and best practices in site engineering.
- Experience in preparing construction documents and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with zoning laws and site safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
